There is a bag filled with 5 blue and 4 red marbles.
A marble is taken at random from the bag, the colour is noted and then it is replaced.
Another marble is taken at random.
What is the probability of getting 2 blues?

total balls 5+4 = 9

Probability of getting blue ball in the first try

                                                                   =[tex]\frac{5}{9}[/tex]

After replacing, total number of balls  = 9

Probability of getting blue ball in the second try

                                                                  [tex]= \frac{5}{9}[/tex]

Therefore probabilty of getting 2 blue balls

                                                               =[tex]\frac{5}{9}*\frac{5}{9} =\frac{25}{81}[/tex]
