John Tyler did a great deal as president but he also had some human rights issues I disagree with. Johnn Tyler helped annex Texasand without this the US would be in a very different place that would most likely be worse off. John Tyler also helped northern businesses by imposing tariffs that without the northern economy could have crumbled. Despite all these great things Tyler did he was a racist and supported the rebels and slavery, for this reason, I say for the most part John Tyler was not a complete success but he did do some great things.
