walkway is added around the outside of the garden. The area of the garden and the
walkway together are 252 square feet. What is the width of the walkway?
Total area=252 sq ft Area of garden=10*14= 140 sq ft Area of walkway=252-140= 112 sq ft Walkway is around the garden, therefore its length is 24 ft (=10+14) Walkway width=112/24= 4.7 ft
