The Cold War led to decolonization of British Empire. It led to various nationalist movement in Asia. India was also influenced by the war and its eventually gain independence in 1947.

The Cold War occurred after WWII due to political rivalry between the United States and USSR and their allies respectively, it was preceded by downfall of European empires. It led to decolonization in Asia and Africa everywhere sovereignty was demanded.
Although China adopted communism in 1949. During the 1920s, India independence movement were at peak. Mahatma Gandhi emerged as a leader, and led various peaceful and nonviolent movement for India's Independence against the Britain, such as: Civil disobedience movement. Hunger strikes, rallies demonstrations without weapons.
This decolonization led to violence between Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. There were millions of casualties. Although India gain independence in 1947, but it was divided into two countries, India and Pakistan.
Therefore, the above statements appropriately describe the effect of cold wars in Asia.
