If I set up personal values for myself, and one of those personal values are my friends, that is a deep sign of respect and integrity for my friends. But (and this is critical) if I put other, more important, values before my friends, I might start to lose time with my friends, or my friends might become disinterested because I put other things before them. Find a balance in between.
