the function F is defined by F(x) 12/x+1/2. use this formula to find the following values of the function. F(a/2)

Respuesta :

Subtract 1/2 by F(x) then multiply by 12

Answer:

F([tex]\frac{a}{2}[/tex]) = [tex]\frac{24}{a} +\frac{1}{2}\\[/tex]

Step-by-step explanation:

so basically what you want to do is insert the f(x) value into the equation. What I mean by that is in this equation, since f(x) = f(a/2), you want to substitute A/2 into the equation, so you'll have [tex]\frac{12}{\frac{a}{2} }[/tex], if you can't see that, its 12/a/2. In other words, this is 12 ÷ [tex]\frac{a}{2}[/tex] , which you can also format as 12 ·[tex]\frac{2}{a}[/tex], because of the "keep, change, flip" thing. Well, you know that equation is equal to 24/a so you just have to add back the 1/2, and you have your answer!

Side Note:

  • I know the format is terrible, but the answer is right so please bear with me :)
  • I know the person asking this question asked it a year ago so i'm just answering it for future users
  • If i'm guessing correctly, this question originated from RSM, and I found it googling rsm problems, and my answer is correct in RSM, so if you have this same question on your RSM homework, I promise you it's right
  • If you got this from RSM homework, and you have other questions about the same types, like 7abcdegi, comment, because I have those answers too
  • If you have any questions about this answer, also comment, I would love to help
  • If the user who asked this question is still active, I would really appreciate brainliest if you think this deserves it
  • Hope this helps!! If it did, please give it a good rating so others know they can trust it!
