The actions of Italy, Germany, and Japan violated the Treaty of Versailles as the treaty clearly stated that Germany was never supposed to form another army until long after the war. When Germany began to build an army, and Italy and Japan began to help them by providing arms, and other resources, they all obviously and blatantly defied the treaty.

Germany occupied the Rhineland, built an airforce called the Luftwaffe, recruited more men, and built more tanks and warships. Germany also invaded Austria, including Czechoslovakia.
Japan broke many agreements on the treatment of POWs and the prohibited use of gas. They supplied the German Reich as well, which contributed to this.
Italy did the same as Japan with supplying Germany, but unfortunately I am unsure how else Italy broke the treaty, but I know that them joining the Axis powers was due to them not getting what they were promised and a huge amount of debt.
