The compromise of 1850 was made up of 5 consecutive bills trying to resolve the arguments or disputes over slavery in territories across the United States. This especially applies the the people of Mexico after the Mexican-American war. This compromise made some states like California free while others like Texas to decide by themselves on whether they wanted to be free or not.
