An Odor is caused by one or more volatilized chemical compound that humans and other animals can perceive by the sense of smell. And that why when Jenna took an open bowl of leftover mashed potatoes from the refrigerator. She determined that chemical changes occurred since the potatoes were first placed there.This is because an Odor is detected when one inhales air that contains the Odor molecules. which then bind to receptors inside the nose relaying messages to the brain. It is a distinctive and often unpleasant smell.
