h(4) means you have to substitute
4
in for
h
. So the equation becomes H(
4
)
=-2(
4
) + 4. You don't technically have to have the H(4) part in there when you work the equation. Use PEMDAS:
-2(4)+4
-2 x 4 = -8
-8 + 4
=-4
So, -4 is the answer. :)
