When you go to the dentist and he uses a drill on your teeth, the drill bit will have a diamond coating (outer layer). Explain why you think a diamond coating would be used on the outside of the drill bit.
as most know a diamond is very strong, and so are humans teeth when the dentist uses the drill to smooth your teeth if it doesn't have a diamond coating it will most likely break and get damaged.
