The "third-person point of view" in narration can be classified into two: omniscient and limited.
The third-person omniscient means that the person knows everything that is happening to the characters and the situations in the story. There is no bias nor preference happening here.
On the contrary, the third-person limited means that the person's perception of the characters and situation is limited. In this case, he may know what is going on in one person's mind/thinking.
