What would the modern day equivalent of the monarch, lords, Knights, and peasants, be and what are some similarities and differences? Please answer clearly.
The monarch would be out president today. S:They both have the power to do lots of good or bad and are of the highest position in this political hierarchy. D: the president does not have the absolute control like a monarch would. The president shares power with 2 other branches of government while the monarch has advisors but he is the absolute power.
The lords would be like our senators I believe.
S: they would be the people who micromanage for the ruler. The run a section of the land for the ruler. D: senators are to be picked by the people not appointed by the ruler.
Knights I would just relate to the military.
S: fight for the country D: the military chooses who becomes a soldier, a separate process in which the ruler doesn't oversee. Knights are knighted by the ruler.
Peasants are the everyday people.
S: we work and conduct our daily life the same ways.
D: I would say we aren't as poor and mistreated. We have more options now then before and everyone has more of an equal chance to change their fortune
