In New England people made money and living from the resources found there. They had to find other ways to make money other than agriculture because they had harsh winters, rocky soil, and many other obstacles stopping them from having an agriculture based economy. Instead they focused on manufacturing and creating things and used thing found in the area such as fish and wood.

The Middle Colonies focused on grains and things of such sort. They where nicknamed The Bread Basket of the Americas. They had slaves there but not as many as the south and not as many as the north. They produced things like oats, wheat, and many things alike. The area was a perfect mix of the New England and Southern colonies. It had the right soil to grow minimal agriculture. But also had factories for manufacturing other goods.

The Southern colonies had their entire living based off of agriculture and slaves. They grew plats like indigo, cotton, corn, and others. They based there economy of of slaves as they did most of the work in maintain and caring for the plantations while the owners only laid back and watched. Which later caused a huge disruption in American history.
