We have to discuss about the important concepts of physics
What is physics?
Physics involves the study of matter, energy and interactions between them.
The five important concepts of physics include -
- Classical Mechanics - The Classical mechanics was given by Sir Issacs Newton. It consists of the three Laws of motion - Law of inertia, Momentum and equal and opposite force pairs.
- Electromagnetism - The field of Electromagnetism deals with with the wave particle duality of light. It focused on identifying the wave and particle nature of light when the particle nature was not able to explain some physics phenomena.
- Thermodynamics - The dynamics of heat, energy and work and considerations on the fact that the temperature and energy of the body can be explained at atomic level comes under thermodynamics.
- Relativity - The theory of relativity was given by Albert Einstein which proved the newton's theory of absoluteness of time wrong. Time is relative and depends upon the reference frame. It is divided into two parts - special theory of relativity (dealing with non - accelerated frames) and general theory of relativity (dealing with accelerated frames).
- Quantum mechanics - The laws of classical mechanics failed at the atomic level. The uncertainty principle proved that. In order to explain the motion at the sub - atomic level the quantum mechanics was introduced.
