I don’t know what you view the American identity as so I’ll give you a few questions about your perspective that you can fill in. What do you view yourself as? Do you identify as an American or would you call yourself something else. What culture do you belong in?

My observations lead me to believe that the way people from other nations view themselves in relation to their home country is analogous to the way that Americans view themselves in relation to their home country. Both Whiteman and Hughes, in their respective poems about the American identity, articulated the same sentiments that were on their minds. It makes no difference what people do to make a living or what they do to enhance their income; this is unimportant information. Every single one of them puts in a lot of effort in their respective fields.

It is absolutely necessary to be conscious of any potential prejudices that may exist between African-Americans and Caucasians and to work to eliminate those biases. They will suffer the repercussions despite the fact that they are treated as though they belong to a different caste, religion, or skin tone than the rest of the community. The reverse of this should be done: each individual should be considered as a distinct person with their own set of qualities.

It is essential, in the process of holding someone accountable for future behavior, to take into account the past achievements and capabilities of that person. It is never acceptable or permitted under any circumstances for a person or group to discriminate against another person or group in any way, shape, or form. This includes showing favoritism toward one person or group over another. Sincerely, I believe that all of us ought to be treated the same way because we are all human beings.
