According to the second equation of motion, we have
s = ut + 1/2 at²
★Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:
⇒ 16 = 8 × 4 + 1/2 × a × 4
⇒ 16 = 32 + 2a
⇒ 2a = 16 - 32
⇒ 2a = -16
⇒ a = -16/2
⇒ a = -8 m/s²
