So far i have determined the following equations from the my force body diagrams. T(cos(31)) - mg(sin(25)) = 0 N - (mg(cos(25)) + (T(sin(31))) = 0 to solve for tension you rearrange the first equation to get T(cos(31)) = mg(sin(25)) so if you solve for the horizontal component of gravity you will be able to determine the tension of the string. i have tried my following answer (which comes out to 1426N) but i am incorrect. if anyone can please point out what i am missing i would be really appreciate it.
