The French revolutionary process was of great importance for a new perspective to take hold within Europe. During this event, many revolutionaries interpreted their struggle as action taken in defense of the interests of their own country. Nobles, conservatives, Church members and foreign armies were seen as the nation's greatest enemies. From this perspective, we had outlined the first manifestations of nationalist sentiment.
