As a genetic counselor I will suggest to them and share my concern that at this age they should not go out for a child as the couples have some hormonal issues or have less fertile sperm or egg or any serious medical issues inside the body as this is a genetic defect inside the body which has been first time initiated in their body and can be transferred to their child if they go for a child.

I will endeavour  to convince and talk logically to them that if they go for a baby at this age and with this issue.There is a higher probability of a child with down syndrome, clafet palate or with heart defects.

If they do not have any genetic birth defect in the past it doesn't mean it will not occur on them and the medicine to cure it won't work at this age effectively.

I will suggest to them to go out to adopt a child and let their upbringing be with  more love and care.This will feed them with happiness and the child will stay healthy without any kind of health related issues.It will give a chance to a child to live with a happy family and would be great for all of them.
