Answer:
1.- Huey Long evaluated the impact of the new deal and when the program didn't follow an equality of action, he work agaisnt it.
2.-Huey Long was a radical.
3.- Huey Long proposals are what we still want in the U.S.
Explanation:
All right, first of all, Huey Long studied the New Deal proposed by Former president Franklin D. Roosevelt and concluded it had favorable parts for the people while it also had unfavorable factors. Because even though the program proposed support for farmers, the young, the unemployed and the elder. Well, it also gave more opportunities for bankers and business people to create more wealth. One of the biggest support for people was the incentives the government provided to farmers. But it also bailed out banks with bad performance and that required money to maintain their profits at the cost of public money. Yes, the deal gave them money when people couldn't pay for their debts. But it was not the people's fault, it was the opposite because the banks gave credits to people with no guaranteed way to pay them back. Also, the businesses received a lot of support from the government to increase their income, their operations, and their expansion. They received a lot of support in the form of credits with few requisites to guarantee their payment.
Second, Huey Long was a Radical and had his Ideas of what the government should do. Therefore if the government didn't follow his Ideas he opposed them with every drop of influence he had. An example of this is every time the New Deal proposed a new program. If he believed it was good, he supported it and influenced everyone he could to do follow him. But when the programs didn't follow his ideas he opposed them and influenced everyone he could to also do it.
In third place, Huey Long wanted free education, free universal healthcare, a program to help the elderly and taxes that could provide the rich the ability to contribute to the poor development and growth. Which is what we are still looking for. He was a brilliant politician and somehow misunderstood even when his enemies pictured him as communists, but the reality was that he was a progressist for the good of society.
