But it was not the people's fault, it was the opposite because the banks gave credits to people with no guaranteed way to pay them back. Also, the businesses received a lot of support from the government to increase their income, their operations, and their expansion. They received a lot of support in the form of credits with few requisites to guarantee their payment.
Second, Huey Long was a Radical and had his Ideas of what the government should do. Therefore if the government didn't follow his Ideas he opposed them with every drop of influence he had. An example of this is every time the New Deal proposed a new program. If he believed it was good, he supported it and influenced everyone he could to do follow him.
