Does the Sun exert a larger force on the Earth than that exerted on the Sun by the Earth? Explain.

Respuesta :

If this is referring to gravitational force, then this is kind of a trick question!! The formula for gravitational force is a constant G times the mass of each object divided by the distance between the two squared. All together, it looks something like G*m1*m2/r^2. Because the formula uses both masses for each calculation, the force exerted on each one turns out to be the same! Hope this helps!
