Explanation: Homeostasis is the bodies way of keeping balance and every system in order. It responds to stimulus induced by hormones and nuerotransmitters to trigger a certain response using a certain system. These stimulus can be classified as a positive or negative feedback. A positive feedback will enhance a process or a creation of a certain product or protein whereas a negative feedback will lower, inhibit or stop a process. For these to successfully take place the brain will respond to stimulus and secrete hormones that will trigger a response.
A common example is the hormone insulin that is secreted when there is too much blood glucose. Insulin is a negative feedback that halts glycolysis and initiate glycogenesis the storage of glucose in form of glycogen in the cell.
