Hose 1 took 45 mins to fill a pool of height of 20 inches and length 110 inches. Hose 2 took 15 mins to fill the same pool. How long would it take to fill the same pool using both Hose 1 and 2 ?
the dimensions are irrelevant. Because 15 minutes is 1/4 of an hour and 45 minutes is 3/4 of an hour, 1/4 and 3/4 averaged is 2/4 with simplifies to 30 min.
