Answer: Ferns often use both sexual and asexual reproduction systems. During sexual reproduction, a spore grows into a gametophyte. If it includes a good amount of moisture, the gametophyte is then fertilized and grows rapidly, into a diploid sporophyte. The sporophyte now produces spores, and this completes the cycle of life!!!
