Gene expression involves the use of information found in genes to make functional gene product normally proteins.
The process of gene expression occurs in two stages namely; transcription and translation.During transcription DNA molecule is copied into a messenger RNA, which will carry the information out of the nucleus to the cytoplasm in organelles called ribosomes.
In ribosomes, the process of translation takes place, where the information in the mRNA is used to make amino acids with the help of transfer RNA. The amino acids are encoded by codons in the mRNA.
