1. Specific defense mechanism is just that it is specific against a particular antigen.
Non-specific defense is responding the same to all attacks, not distinguishing between foreign and self, not recognizing invaders before responding, and responding the same to all invaders.
I just did the assignment. I hope this helps. By any chance could you give me brainliest?

Questions
1. What is the difference between a specific and a nonspecific defense?
Nonspecific defense give general protection against any pathogen while specific defense only respond to certain invaders that they are specialized to take care of.
2. Antigens can trigger an immune response. Explain if this is a specific or a nonspecific defense.
White blood cells make the specific immune response and are responsible for the production of the antibody that destroys the pathogen.
3. What are the advantages of a specific defense?
In our body, we have both the non specific and specific defenses. For specific defenses, the immune system is responsible for it against agents which are called antigens which are the foreign or harmful microorganisms that would enter the body. Specific mechanisms are part of the immune system and consist of the humeral immune response and the cellular immune response that produce antibodies and defense cells against specific antigens, respectively. Based on this, we can say that the advantages of a specific defense are that, it will remember certain foreign or harmful microorganisms that would enter the body and would take appropriate action on it.
4. What are the advantages of a nonspecific defense?
All nonspecific defenses provide the body with general protection against foreign invaders. fevers may also slow down reproduction of bacteria and viruses.
5. What role do white blood cells play in a specific response?
White blood cells kill and fight malignant diseases, bacteria, and viruses by using and producing antibodies.
6. Explain how you classified the defenses as specific or nonspecific. What criteria did you use?
Non-Specific defenses are more general then specific defenses. For example a fever happening when you are sick or your skin growing back after you cut yourself is a lot more general then the difference between T cells and B cells.
