D. Free Enterprise
Free Enterprise is the application of natural law to the economic system. There are winners and losers and sometimes it is from hard work and other times it is from luck, just like in nature.
I will note that free enterprise is not an aspect of American democracy but rather a co-occurring interrelated phenomenon.
