Slope formula: m = [tex]\frac{(y2 - y1)}{(x2 - x1)}[/tex]

Slope of segment BC:

First, we substitute B (5, 2) for (x₁, y₁) and C (11, -6) for (x₂, y₂)

m BC = [tex]\frac{(-6 - 2)}{(11 - 5)}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{-8}{6} = -\frac{4}{3}[/tex]

Slope of BC = A. [tex]-\frac{4}{3}[/tex]

Slope of segment AB:

We substitute A (-3, -4) for (x₁, y₁) and B (5, 2) for (x₂, y₂)

m AB = [tex]\frac{(2 - (-4))}{(5 - (-3))} = \frac{(2 + 4)}{(5 + 3)} = \frac{6}{8} =  \frac{3}{4}[/tex]

Slope of AB = C. [tex]\frac{3}{4}[/tex]
