Okay, this stuff can get confusing. So, what you need to do is:

First, flip it around so x is on the other side, like this:

[tex] \frac{5}{8}y+\frac{4}{5}=x [/tex]

Then you subtract [tex] \frac{4}{5} from both sides, so it cancels out. Your equation should look like this:
\frac{5}{8}y=x-\frac{4}{5} [/tex]

Multiply both sides by 8, then divide by 5!

[tex] (8)\frac{5}{8}y=x-\frac{4}{5}(8)

\5y÷5=8x-\frac{32}{5}÷5

So, y=\frac{40x-32}{25}! [/tex]
