The shape is formed by two polygons, a Isosceles Triangle and a Rectangle, so:

Isosceles Triangle Area:

Area Triangle = (base x height)/2

Base = 7 ; Height = 3

-> Atriangle = 7 x 3 / 2
-> Atriangle = 21/2

Rectangle Area:

Area Rectangle = Length x Width

Length = 7 ; Width = 3

-> Area Rectangle = 7 x 3 = 21

Area of the Shape (As) = Atriangle + Arectangle

-> As = 21/2 + 21
-> As = 21+42/2 = 63/2 = 31,5

Answer: The area of the shape is 31,5 or 63/2
