When dividing fractions, you have to multiply by the reciprocal.

An example operation would work out like this:

[tex] \frac{1}{2} \div \frac{3}{4}[/tex]

The reciprocal of 3/4 would be 4/3, so multiply by the reciprocal:

[tex]\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{4}{3}[/tex]

When you divide fractions, you have to "multiply fraction's" by the reciprocal. In order to solve a division-fraction problem you have to use KCF. (Keep, Change, Flip)

Example:

[tex] \frac{2}{3} ÷ \frac{5}{6} [/tex]=

2×6=12÷3=4
3×5=15÷3=5

=4/5
