First write it out:
AAC AAG CCC....which are amino acids...ASP LYS PRO
If you change the first A to a C you get...
CAC AAG CCC...which gives rise to amino acids...HIS LYS PRO
Only the first amino acid is changed...but that could be devastating depending on the protein.
