One number is 8 times a first number. A third number is 100 more than the first number. If the sum of the three numbers is 320​, find the numbers.

The equation:
x + 8x + x + 100 = 32010x + 100 = 320    |-10010x = 220    |:10x = 22
8x = 8 · 22 = 176
x + 100 = 22 + 100 = 122
Answer: 22, 176 and 122
