Using the lesson plan you completed in Module 3, add two new sections to the plan--formative assessment and summative assessment. Write a plan for both- this should include your plan for formative and summative assessments, the written instructions to students, and the actual assessment artifacts. For example, if you plan on having students write an essay, you must include the writing prompt and the rubric you will use to score the assignment.
A) Formative Assessment: Throughout the lesson, students will be periodically asked to answer questions related to the topic being taught. This will be done through individual written responses and class discussions. The formative assessment will help gauge students' understanding as the lesson progresses.
Written Instructions to Students: Answer the following questions based on the information discussed in class. Be prepared to share your answers with the class during the discussion.
Assessment Artifacts: Written responses from students and records of class discussions.
B) Summative Assessment: At the end of the lesson, students will complete a short quiz covering the main concepts taught during the session. The quiz will consist of multiple-choice and short-answer questions.
Written Instructions to Students: Complete the following quiz by selecting the correct answer for each question and providing brief explanations where required.
Assessment Artifacts: Completed quiz papers with student responses.
