Your supervisor is making her rounds and stops by your workstation. She asks you for an update on the status of the pod and wants to know if there have been any problems. You share with her that the inmates have been quiet and there have been no problems in the pod. Although you know the behavior of the new officer was inappropriate and violated policy, you don't want to create any problems for them. New officers often struggle with the high expectations the sheriff has regarding levels of respect and care given to the inmates. Even so, you know the officer's behavior should be addressed. What would you do?
