Your research center in a prominent university has been approached by the Black Caucus of your state legislator asking to examine an issue that has been brought up by their constituents. Several members of a large and predominantly African American community claim that there is an alarming increase in the prevalence of cancer in their community, and they suspect it is attributed to the new cell phone towers being installed. The cell phone companies are refuting their towers are the cause. To help address this community's concern, discuss how you would go about looking into this issue and propose a potential research study, as well as the political and scientific implications of the results (such as inquiry for future research). Use the course readings to support your response in this scenario and respond to the following (be sure to properly cite your sources):
a) State the research question and null hypothesis.
b) Describe the process of recruiting and enrollment of the sample.
c) Describe the data collection method(s) utilized and identify the dependent and independent variables.
d) Discuss at least two potential political and/or scientific implications of conducting this study.
e) Propose another potential research question to conduct in a subsequent study to follow up to this study.
