Hunger in haste tho hent Wastour bi the mawe
And wronge hym so bi the wombe that [al watered] his eyen.
He bette hem so bothe he barste nere here guttes.
They hadde ben [dede and] dolven, ne deme thow non other.
"[Lete] hem lyve," he seyde, "and lete hem ete with hoddes,
Or elles benes and bren y-baken togideres."
