Can you solve this fluid mechanics question please? It is a chemical engineering question.
Static mixing devices (that promote turbulent mixing in pipelines) provide an inexpensive way for mixing of fluids continuously in a pipeline. In a cosmetic factory, it is desired to mix two immiscible liquids in a pipeline using that static mixer. A typical static mixer design is shown in Fig. Q1.1. All pipes are 1 in (33.7/3.25 mm) in nominal size.
Here, one stream (liquid-2) to be mixed enters the T-joints; turns around the 90o elbow; is dispersed within the other stream (liquid-1) as drops under turbulent flow. Finally the resultant mixture is formed. The resultant mixture is an emulsion, where water is dispersed within oil phase in form of very tiny drops. Calculate the support forces for the
