For this activity, your task is to pretend that you are the owner of a soon-to-be opened fitness facility. You will be creating a basic outline of the business plan for your facility.
This plan will give a broad overview of the different activities, equipment, classes, and types of fitness addressed at your facility.
Your facility does not have to be a traditional gym with treadmills and weights, though it certainly can be. Your facility may be an indoor rock climbing facility, a trampoline-based fitness facility, an indoor-outdoor boot camp, or a combination of any number of fitness-based activities that creates a totally original facility that you have invented.
You may present your business outline in a word document or a brief slideshow. Each business plan presentation must include the following information:
A name for your facility
A brief description about your facility in general, the type of fitness activities that will be available at the facility with a brief description of each, and any other amenities offered, also with brief descriptions. Keep in mind that people of diverse backgrounds and abilities may want to use your facility: Include in your description how your fitness facility might meet some of those diverse needs.
Your personal outlook/mission statement on the importance of physical fitness and the goals of your facility
A clear set of etiquette rules for your facility
